We do not store logs zero‑logs policy
Majlis VPN does not collect, store, or share any data about your requests, visited sites, or DNS queries. We have nothing to hand over — even at the request of regulatory authorities.
Privacy & Logs
What logs do you keep?
None. We do not store connection history, DNS queries, visited sites, your IP address, timestamps, or traffic volume. Majlis VPN is an absolutely zero‑logs service.
Can you see my requests?
No, it is technically impossible. The Shadowsocks protocol encrypts all traffic, and we have no access to its content. We only see encrypted packets but cannot decrypt them.
What happens when authorities request data?
We have nothing to provide. We do not store IP addresses, connection timestamps, or activity logs. Even if technically possible — we log nothing from the start.
Where are the servers located?
Servers are located in Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, and the UAE — jurisdictions with strong data protection laws. No server is in countries with mandatory data retention.
Shadowsocks Protocol
What is Shadowsocks?
Shadowsocks is a modern encrypted proxy protocol designed to bypass censorship and protect privacy. Unlike VPNs, it does not disguise itself as legitimate traffic but encrypts it as random data.
Is it secure?
Yes. Shadowsocks uses AES-256 or chacha20 encryption, both considered cryptographically strong. It does not mask traffic as HTTPS but also leaves no metadata about connections.
How is it different from OpenVPN?
Shadowsocks is lighter, faster, and harder to detect. It does not use SSL/TLS, making it harder to distinguish from random traffic. Perfect for countries with deep packet inspection.
Do I need to pay?
Majlis VPN is completely free. We exist through donations and grants. No limits on speed, traffic, or connection time.

Why we chose Shadowsocks

Speed, security, and no traces

High speed

Minimal overhead — up to 95% of your original internet speed

No metadata

Leaves no logs on the server; impossible to determine which sites you visit

Open Source

Fully open source, audited by thousands of developers worldwide

Censorship bypass

Works effectively in countries with DPI (deep packet inspection)

We don't know what you do online
Majlis VPN is designed so that even under compulsion we cannot learn your requests. Shadowsocks encrypts traffic on your device, and the server only sees encrypted packets with no ability to decrypt them. Encryption keys are generated on the client and never transmitted to us. This is not a privacy policy — it's architecture.

Connection & Setup
How do I get the key?
The key is automatically generated when you visit the main page. You can copy it and use it in any Shadowsocks client. The key is permanent.
Which apps are supported?
Any Shadowsocks client: for iOS (Outline, Shadowrocket), Android (V2RayNG, Shadowsocks), Windows (Shadowsocks-C#, Clash Verge), macOS (ShadowsocksX-NG), Linux (Shadowsocks-qt5).
Why is the speed slow?
Try switching the protocol from AES-256 to chacha20 (faster on mobile devices) or change the port. We do not throttle speed, but network congestion may occur during peak hours.
Legal Aspects
Is using Majlis VPN legal?
Using VPNs is legal in most countries. Majlis VPN is a tool for privacy protection, not for illegal activities. Responsibility for usage lies with the user.
Do you share data with authorities?
We have nothing to share. We do not store IP addresses, connection timestamps, or request history. Zero‑logs policy since 2022.
Who funds the project?
Majlis VPN exists through user donations and grants from human rights organizations. We do not sell data or display ads.
